Beautiful Swedish widow Astrid Karlsson becomes America's first female detective when she joins Pinkerton's Detective agency. She soon becomes involved with Confederate agents plotting the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in Baltimore. Having saved the President's life, she becomes a secret service agent.
