Rian Johnson writes and directs this eighth instalment of the epic sci-fi film series in which Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill reprise their roles from the original trilogy. Set immediately after the events of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' (2015), the film follows Princess Leia (Fisher), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Hamill) as they continue their fight against First Order Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and his forces of darkness.
