This is the latest and final edition of the Dasher story and it unravels the mysteries surrounding the sudden catastrophic explosion that resulted in the sinking of HMS Dasher on 27th March, 1943 in home waters on the Clyde without any enemy involvement. The casualties were high, 379 lives were lost within sight of land. Strict silence was imposed. Prior to the 149 survivors being dispersed to different ships they were warned : Don't ever talk about this!
